Foam beds information

One of the most popular types of pet beds is the foam type. Foam pet beds come in many shapes, colors and fabrics. They can be square, rectangular, round or oblong. Most foam pet beds are composed of a high-density type of foam or a combined high-grade memory foam. They are covered with a washable fabric that you merely just remove and wash. These beds also contain an added layer of fabric quilting to increase insulation and add comfort.

If your pet likes to stretch out or sleep in many different positions, the foam pet beds are ideal, and they are available in large and extra large sizes. Most pets are provided with sensible support, as well as increased insulation from floors that can be cold and hard. For short haired pets, the fleece topped foam beds provide extra warmth, but be sure that the outer fabric is removable and washable. Some orthopedic pet beds offer memory foam which can provide this extra orthopedic support. These beds are usually composed of some form of high grade foam.

The prices of these types of foam beds are quite reasonable, in fact, some of the beds are very inexpensive. However, if you want a higher quality foam with higher quality zippers and seams, as well as better fabrics, the cost of the bed will be somewhat higher. But it may be worth it to spend the extra money because chances are the bed will last longer that the more inexpensive beds.

Make sure the seams of the bed are reinforced and that it has hidden zippers and thick fabric. It is not advisable to purchase a bed with button closures because your pet may chew off the buttons and swallow them. The foam beds are not recommended for outdoor use or for pets with incontinence problems, because they are not waterproof.
